The title of this paper ("Differential Cryptanalysis of PRESENT") is misleading, as it suggests that the PRESENT block cipher is broken. The author does not cryptanalyze PRESENT itself, but a simplified version with half the number of rounds (specifically, 16 rather than 31). A title like "Differential Cryptanalysis of Reduced-Round PRESENT" or so would be much more appropriate and true to the contents.
